In Term of Maharashtra Fire License Department. As per the provisions under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006, it is compulsory to possess a Fire License or No-Objection Certificate. 


Reason of obtaining NOC  


  1. Fire license is expected to carry out businesses and trading operations, as listed under the State disaster and fire services Department.
  2. Fire license is required to confirm that construction of the building is resistant or unlikely to adopt any fire-related disaster.

 Fire NOC in India must be obtained by all those buildings whether residential or non-residential, whose height is more than 15 meters to ensure that the property is successfully installed all the fire-related measures and will able to bear fire tragedies in future


Process for License

On payment of fees online and submission, the application will be forwarded to the concerned fire officer. The Concerned fire officer assigns the application to a committee of Officers, and the committee inspects the premises/building and submits the report online within seven days. 


In Maharashtra, Fire License or No Objection Certificate is valid for one year of the date of issue. Hence, it has to be renewed every year.
